VicUrban Marinas 2011 Industry Field Trip

Day three of Marinas 2011 combines business and pleasure in a relaxed and informative industry field trip taking in a number of Marinas along Melbourne's Yarra River. Delegates will board the coaches at the MCEC at 8:30am sharp.

The cruise will include the marina facilities in Victoria Harbour and then exit underneath the Bolte Bridge turning then to go up the Yarra River to Yarra’s Edge Marina, taking in along the way the new Mirvac Marina in the Yarra River. The cruise will then continue down river into the Port of Melbourne to look at the Pier 35 Marina and Swanson Dock, the largest container facility in Australia. To then continue further down river, underneath the Westgate Bridge and pass by Hobson Bay Yacht Club Marina, Motor Yacht Club, Savages Marina and Royal Yacht Club of Victoria Marina.

Optional Helicopter Flight

Delegates will have the option to include as an optional extra tour and at an additional charge the opportunity of a helicopter tour departing from Williamstown (once the Lady Cutler has docked at Gem Pier) that will include a fly over a number of Marinas along the Yarra River with a landing and tour at Queenscliff. The flight will then continue on to Sandringham Yacht Club to meet up with the rest of the group.
